My Gaming Beginnings

My very first gaming system was the NES. I am old enough to remember going over to friends' houses and playing on their Atari, but the NES was the first console that truly felt like mine. We didn’t have a lot of money growing up, so I only had a few games. One of my best memories is going to my best friend's house in grammar school. She had tons of NES games, and we would spend entire afternoons playing together.

Growing Up With Games

After the NES, the next console I remember buying was the PS2. I had wanted a PS1 and a Nintendo Game Boy so badly, but we simply didn’t have the money for those things back then. The PS2 felt like a huge leap, and I played it constantly.

Retro Gaming Forever

Now I am huge into retro gaming and making up for lost time. I love replaying old favorites and discovering retro gems I missed the first time around. My favorite game series include Super Mario Bros, The Legend of Zelda, and Fire Emblem. There is something magical about going back to the games that shaped my childhood and exploring the ones I never had access to.

Why I Love Retro Games

Retro games feel warm, familiar, and full of charm. They remind me of simpler times, of sitting on the floor with friends, of borrowing games, of wishing for consoles I couldn’t have, and of discovering entire worlds inside a tiny cartridge. I’m having a lot of fun revisiting all of it now.
